Chorizo ​​& Cheese Cake

This savory chorizo ​​cake is a classic that always makes a statement. Easy to prepare, it combines the softness of the dough with the tangy flavor of the chorizo ​​and the melting cheese. 
Served warm or cold, it's perfect for a gourmet appetizer, a sunny picnic, or even as a light dish accompanied by a green salad.

Ingredients

For a softer texture, use whole milk which will provide more softness thanks to its fat.

Preparations

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan-assisted).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
  3. Add the eggs, oil, and milk, then whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in the grated cheese.
  5. Cut the chorizo into small cubes and add them to the dough.
  6. Season lightly (be careful, the chorizo and cheese are already salty).
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured cake mold.
  8. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the cake is golden brown and cooked through (test with the tip of a knife).​
  9. Let cool before removing from the mold.
